Discover Uruguay in 2025: Luxury travel experiences, cruise connections, and direct flights from the U.S. to South America’s hidden gem. Explore wine routes, boutique hotels, and authentic culture with this exclusive tourism showcase in Miami, Chicago, and New York.
While many countries are redoubling efforts to secure their place in the global tourism market, Uruguay is once again showcasing its best version in one of the world’s most strategic regions: the United States. With a delegation representing both public and private sectors, the Uruguayan Chamber of Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism are leading a new edition of the roadshow that has already made a lasting impression in previous years. Under the banner “Uruguay Unveiled, much more than a country”, the cities of Miami, Chicago, and New York are transformed into mobile embassies of Uruguayan identity.
This is more than a promotional campaign; it’s a strategic move. After the successful experiences of “Experimente Uruguay” and “A Taste of Uruguay”, this year’s edition refines the message with a more powerful narrative—blending understated luxury with authenticity, peacefulness with unforgettable experiences. Most importantly, the U.S. market has responded. In recent years, American travelers have increasingly chosen Uruguay, not just for Montevideo or Punta del Este, but also to explore wine routes, rural tourism, cultural events, and—more recently—cruise itineraries including embarkation and disembarkation in Uruguayan ports.
In addition to the support of the Uruguayan Embassy in the U.S., the events were backed by Copa Airlines, a key partner in this promotional effort. Uruguay also benefits from strong air connectivity, with both direct and connecting flights to Montevideo available through several major international carriers. This accessibility strengthens Uruguay’s appeal to high-income travelers looking for safe, unique, and enriching experiences.
Furthermore, the synergy between cruise operators and the country has intensified, positioning Uruguay’s ports—especially Montevideo and Punta del Este—as key stops on premium routes that link South America with the Caribbean and North Atlantic.

What sets this roadshow apart is not just the message, but the people delivering it. Led by Marina Cantera (President of CAMTUR), Mauricio Muñoz (Ministry of Tourism), and María Julia Fernández (Promotion Coordinator), the delegation includes top-tier accommodation and travel industry representatives: The Grand Hotels Lux, Grupo Solanas, Buemes, Buquebus, Cynsa, Furlong Incoming, and Lares, among others.
Each city’s program includes a country presentation, a panel on premium lodging in Uruguay, and a talk featuring the country’s top DMCs. The events end with a wine and culinary tasting experience—designed to leave each guest with more than just a brochure, but a genuine story to remember.

Once again, Uruguay presents itself to the world not with noise or spectacle, but with solid arguments: quality of life, warm hospitality, top-notch services, and a story worth living. This roadshow is more than a promotional tour—it’s a model of public-private coordination with real impact. Behind each handshake lies a vision for the country’s future. And behind every guest who attends, a new opportunity to connect with the soul of Uruguay.
